Matt qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 from Salford University. He worked in the NHS at Hope Hospital in Salford for 8 years, and has specialised in musculo-skeletal practice for over 7 years, and has also worked in private practice since he qualified. He set up mlh Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic as Clinical Director in 2007, and spends his time working across the mlh practices.
Matt has worked with a number of local sports clubs & athletes since setting up mlh, including Asthon-on-Mersey RUFC, and Sale Harriers 400m runner Kelly Massey. He has also acted as Consultant Physiotherapist to England Hockey League club Brooklands Hockey Club in Sale for 6 years.
His areas of clinical interest are manipulation and soft-tissue release techniques. Whilst working Matt has gained a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine and has gained qualifications to practice manipulation & acupuncture. He is a current member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (SOM).
