Joanne McCusker

Joanne McCusker is an expert and specialised paediatric physiotherapist who focusses on the individual needs of your child and works with you to develop a treatment plan.

Joanne has significant clinical expertise and experience with a wide variety of children's physiotherapy conditions. She looks closely at the unique needs of each child to make the most of their potential.

She has a particular interest in children with complex conditions and has a large number of assessment and treatment techniques available to make a success of the child's physiotherapy within their home environment.

Joanne is also an assessor and provider of DMO orthotics who make custom-made braces and supports for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in children. She can also be an expert witness in legal cases, through Somek & Associates.

After graduating from Liverpool School of Physiotherapy in 1992 she worked at Aintree Hospitals, specialising in paediatrics in 1994 in Lancashire. She has worked at the Brainwave's North West Centre and completed an MSc in Allied Health Practice in 2011.

Joanne is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), the Association of Paediatric Physiotherapists and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
