Physiotherapist
Gary Fleming has extensive and personal experience of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain problems. Having playing over 400 games of professional football, including for top-flight clubs and his country, Gary is fully aware of the challenges such injuries pose and how they might be addressed.
The practice offers expert assessment, treatment and management of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and pain problems. They can also plan and guide rehabilitation programmes to return to elite sport, normal day-to-day activities or recover after orthopaedic operations.
Having qualified in 2000 with an honours degree in physiotherapy, Gary worked initially in the NHS and moved into private practice in 2007.
He specialises in intramuscular stimulation (IMS), an electrical method of diagnosing and treating chronic pain syndromes. It uses a dry needling technique close to acupuncture to stimulate the injured areas, relax shortened muscles and promoting local healing.
Gary is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
