David Ede has extensive expertise in the assessment, treatment and management of many kinds of musculoskeletal problems and pain conditions with a particular interest in the care, prevention and rehabilitation of sporting injuries.
David established Ede therapies in 2014, and before this he was an extended scope practitioner (ESP) in the NHS specialising in foot and ankle injuries.
Apart from sports injuries, David treats all the normal range of general pain conditions but specialises in spinal injuries such as back pain and neck pain. He believes you should have the same level of expertise and rehabilitation if you are an elite athlete, a weekend warrior or participate now and then.
David likes to use hands-on treatments such as soft-tissue mobilisation, joint mobilisation and manipulation. He is keen on the re-education of joint position sense and stabilising muscles to help prevent relapses.
With his close associations with local main hospitals, gyms, numerous clinics and medical centres he gets many patients referred to him directly.
David Ede graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2005 and completed his M.Sc. Sport and Exercise Medicine, at Queen Mary University and Barts University, London in 2011.
He has published research papers about injuries to tendons and worked with world experts in this area. David also developed an injury screening tool for individuals and clubs for pre-season assessment. He offers convenient daytime and evening appointments for your convenience.
