Ben Farrell is the practice principal and an expert physiotherapist whose areas of special interest include acute and chronic low back pain, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, knee pain and ankle/foot pain.
The core principles of Ben’s practice are communication and correct diagnosis, both essential to allow the best treatment. The motto of the clinic is “Ease the Pain & Cure the Cause”.
Ben has significant experience working with sportsmen and women, including the professionals at Essex County Cricket Club, and Old Loughtonians Hockey club for two seasons before setting up the clinic in Chelmsford.
A firm believer in client input into rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Ben concentrates on working together so you get back to fitness and well-being as fast as possible.
Ben graduated from the University of East London in 2001 with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy, following on from a three year degree in Sports Rehabilitation in St Mary’s University College, Twickenham.
His career started in the NHS where his focus and interests were in musculoskeletal conditions, trauma and orthopaedics. During this time he honed his skills with regard to these two disciplines. He set up his clinic in 2003 so he could see patients from both acute to chronic stages and sports participants rather than solely hospital patients.
Ben Farrell is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
