After graduating Coventry University in 2005 I began my career in the NHS working at the Queens Hospital in Burton on Trent. I gained a wealth of experience during this time treating a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and also was involved in the Hand Therapy service within the hospital.
In 2010 I decided to leave the NHS to work full time in Private Practice. In May 2012 I launched the mobile physio service, A. W. Physio – the physio that comes to YOU. The aim being that of making physiotherapy more accessible for patients in Leicestershire. From this the clinic evolved to what AW Physio & Sports Injury Clinic is today.
I specialise in all areas of musculoskeletal complaints and I have a strong interest in treating sports injuries. I am a keen runner myself and completed the Berlin marathon in September 2012 and again in 2013. My other sporting interests are that of golf and football. I am also the resident Physiotherapist for the Addict Dance Academy in Leicester, providing physiotherapy for high level dancers.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am also a practicing member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
